The New Stage Theatre Company seeks motivated and enthusiastic individuals for internships. Interns may be assigned to administrative, production-related, or promotional aspects of our programming. You must commit to a minimum of 8 hours per week and a minimum commitment of three months. Internships are unpaid but, for successful candidates, could lead to a paid position within the company in the future. The position is at New Stage offices, 75 Broad Street, Suite 0406, NYC.

We are looking for dedicated interns in the following areas:

Social media: Candidate must have intricate familiarity with the digital media landscape, including wide range of social media websites. Position involves monitoring and posting on blogs, forums, and social networks; online outreach and promotion using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more; website and social media optimization; keyword analysis.

Administration: General office duties including mailing list maintenance, assisting with mailings, grant and marketing research.

Development: The development intern will work in all aspects of fundraising campaigns, and will be an integral part of planning and executing special events, including our annual New Stage gala. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Computer skills are necessary for letters, proposals and database management.

Production Management: The production management intern will assist with tasks related to production and act as an assistant to the artistic director during performance periods. Responsibilities might include conducting production-related research on suppliers, materials and contacts; participating in planning and scheduling; and coordinating the mounting of the production.
