The Austrian authors Stefan Zweig and Joseph Roth return as ghosts to the Europe of 2021. They accompany a famous literary scholar and her intern on a research trip from Vienna to London on the high speed Eurostar train.
Their interactions oscillate between tragedy and comedy as each tries to position themself within current political developments in Europe. As affection and rejection arise alliances change and unbridgeable differences emerge.
